The Coalition for Crime Victims of Monroe County was founded in the early 1980s through the efforts of several local, city, and county victim service agencies. The Coalition is committed to increasing community awareness of victims rights and the issues surrounding them.
The Coalition provides opportunities to network with victim service providers, enhance public awareness of victim services, encourage participation within the community, and advocate on behalf of crime victims. We strive to make justice meaningful and effective, by recognizing that crime isn't something that "happens to someone else".
If you have been a victim of a crime and need assistance the Coalition for Victims of Monroe County would like to point you in the right direction for help. We are a network of victim service organizations, but do not provide any direct services to crime victims. Victim services are provided by our membership service agencies.
